You may or may not choose to read this in detail.  If you  don't read it, print it out, put it in a 3 ring binder and then study it through highlighting key pieces . T here is a strong probability that your numbers will reveal that you cut corners. 

E-VA & Distributor Team . . . I met with Wade today to review over his results over the last few weeks.  Both Wade and I are frustrated with the results.  Why did he start out so strong, first day or two and then everything slipped from there? 

  • KNOW YOUR NUMBERS - In our weekly call, if you were to listen to Wade, his energy, time and focus was on why he was where he was . . . which is why he would continue to be stuck there.  My energy is focused on "What do we / he needs to change to start producing results?"
  • I quickly looked at his numbers and saw his apt. count was very very very low.
  • I'm also guessing that his follow through on Leadership Roundtable people is probably weak as well.
  • He was not doing well in keeping up with his best prospects and calling throughout the entire week even if it was only 10 to 15 minutes a day.
  • The way his brain is working is holding him back as well.  He needs to realize that to move to the next level of success / finance that he needs to succeed at this level.  He is also investing a lot of brain energy as to "Why it is not working" and "He has been successful in the past" AND NOT ON "What actions does he need to change to fix things."  
  • I decided to make a few calls from an email that was sent out through MailChimp.  I had opens and six click throughs in minutes of sending it out, three people who requested a white paper and three that clicked but did not request the white paper.  I immediately called them, left a message for one of them and then talked to the other one and scheduled an appointment.  HOW?
  • When she said "I looked at the email but just had a quick look . . . "I said "How about if we schedule an appointment on Friday to review over any questions that you may have on the white paper and how it could help you with your biggest challenge of - Finding new qualified leads and networking, does that sound good?"  She said "Yes" and in less than 5 minutes I had an appointment.  
  • An E-VA should be able to schedule one appointment an hour.  Me getting an appointment in five minutes is equal to getting paid $180 an hour (If someone gets paid $15 an hour.)
  • Most E-VA's will never take the time to really turn Area 2: Pre-Sales into a science which is why they will often get stuck earning whatever they earn and never advance to something higher.
  • LEADERSHIP - From a leadership perspective it's interesting to see the massive work / detail as to what I am doing right now . . . and why others do not do this?  It's because they have not invested tens of thousands of dollars into people who have not produced results and so they have not learned the very hard lessons I have as to the importance of TRACKING THE NUMBERS , and seeking to focus on the DISCOVERY OF SOLUTIONS
  • I further have learned that others will not take the time to go through and do the painful things of tracking every little step as I am doing here.  I do not get paid a $1 to do all this work . . . So why do I do it then?   DISCIPLINE !  
  • See, I know that one small detail in how someone answers the phone, in sharing their biggest challenge, what they would love help on, my tone, my pitch the energy I bring to the situation makes all the difference for my success . . . and I need to transfer that to others somehow.  
  • My gut feel is that she probably can't afford a full ActionVision so I started to prep her for something to even get started.  See below.  I will approach her, mindset wise, thinking that she can afford the higher level solution and then see what the information is.
  • LEARNING AT A HIGH LEVEL -Wade's set to kept percentages  were very low as well. What we need to do in that situation is look at what type of email was sent . Was there a confirmation phone call ? What was the script? Did it include solving their biggest challenge? Was  there a lot of exciting energy? Did we entice and sell them on attending?
  • Just like McDonald's trains their franchisees in EVERY detail you also need to be trained in every detail of BOS - Business Operating System.  You need to know it inside and out to run your own E-VA company OR really any company you end up owning.  
  • Direction from other E-VA's - There is another button in the previous page which is designed for you and other E-VA's to document these types of things.  What works best? Why isn't something working?  What actions do I need to take etc.?   Learning at the core as to why things don't work help you to fix things not only for other companies but also for your own.
  • The following email may be a little too long, may include a little too much.  If this was my area of expertise, how I was putting food on the table for my family, I would know it better than anyone else and would master it.
I trust this helps and trust that you learn at the core level not at the surface.  Remember . . . it can take 100's of calls, at times, to schedule an appointment.  Invest as much time, energy and thought into getting them to show up as you do in setting up the appointment in the first place.
